At the August meeting, the Council in particular focus on genetic testing. A number of speakers are invited in order to give inspiration to the work on the topic

  4. Theme session: Genetic Tests
    A brief introduction by Working Group Chairman, Mrs. Gunna Christiansen, followed by presentations by the below-mentioned experts. Questions and debate follows the presentations.
    I)
    "The Use of Genomic Sequencing at the Copenhagen University Hospital" by Professor and Clinical Biochemist Finn Cilius Nielsenand MD and Genetic Councelor Mrs. Anne-Marie Gerdes.
    II) "The Use of Genomic Sequencing in Research HTF Pangenomprojekt" by Professor, Oluf Borbye Pedersen, Head of the HTF Pangenom Project at the Novo Nordisk Center for basic research in metabolism etc.
    III) "Perceptions and Reactions to Genetic Information" by Associate Professor, Anthropologist Mette Nordahl Svendsen, with the Department of Public Health, University of Copenhagen.
