Ethical Forum for Young People is an educational and democracy project. The education material aims at getting primary school pupils to discuss ethical issues in the class room as well as at home around the dinner table. The Council publishes an instruction booklet and hosts every second years a youth conference, where 17 pupils discuss positions about the topic raised the specific year
Ethical Forum for Young People (EFYP) consists of an educational booklet targeted at primary school classes. The booklet can be obtained for free by ordering at the Councils website (in Danish only). The primary school teachers and their pupils are using the material during the autumn semester, and sets the course for a pupil to participate in the Forum in the beginning of the following year.
The Forum is a two-day event. 17 pupils meet and discuss the specific topic. Based on the topic and the position statements, the 17 students produce an opinion on the second day of the event. The opinion is sent to Danish politicians and other stakeholders.
The Council's Working Group creates the educational booklet. The topic of the coming EFYP is not yet determined.
The Working Group is responsible for the Forum event.
