The history and spheres of work of the Council

The Act on the Danish Council of Ethics
From January 2005 the Council gives advice and information on the ethical issues related to biotechnologies pertaining to human beings, nature, the environment and foodstuffs to the Danish Parliament, the public authorities and the public in at large (original law from June 1987)

Members of the Danish Council of Ethics
The Council has 17 members who are appointed because of their interest of bioethical dilemmas
